These shimmering trees would be a fun alternative to adorn the Christmas table or even to carry through to New Year's to add a little bling! Visit here for the how-to!
Two weeks ago we celebrated my niece's 11th birthday and I volunteered to plan a Rudolph themed Christmas party to celebrate. She had already had her party with her friends but there is always a family celebration.
I was anxious to try out my new edible ink printer and made some rudolph picture cookies...I heart my new printer! I even utilized some of TomKat's Rudolph printable collection throughout the party. My cherished Rudolph characters were used to adorn the cake which was a chocolate cake filled with peppermint patty buttercream and I added some other christmas themed goodies including the traditional favorite egg nog to the table.
This party was a blast to plan and put together!
I would not have been able to have gotten these pictures without my sister who is a great photographer among other talents! Thank you, Victoria, for the awesome shots of the party!
Created this ice skating themed cake for my oldest neice who is turning 11. I have yet to make a cake for her and it was a treat. My neice and I both share December birthdays and she was supposed to be born on my birthdate. She really is a gem. Hope you had fun! Happy Birthday!
Every year at Christmas my kids get their own little tree to adorn with whatever they choose for the holidays. From handmade items to store bought ornaments every year is a different theme. I thought these kids tree ideas were cute...
I stumbled upon a tutorial for cotton ball trees from A Fanciful Twist and loved the snowy effect so much that I included them in my winter woodland dessert table. We actually turned it into a craft project that I completed with the kids. I recommend using white glue and tape rather than the hot glue if including children. I think we may make some more once the Christmas holidays arrive.
It is now officially the Christmas season and what better way to welcome the season than with a dessert table? :) This weekend we welcomed a few guests with a winter wonderland dessert table. The winter woodland theme is one of my favorites and have carried it through to my decor this year. I included my first batch of homemade marshmallows and I am in love! It is super easy and so much better than store bought! I will share the recipe with you later on this week.
