Polka Dot Blossom Baby Cake

Good morning lovelies! Where has the time gone? I cannot believe we are already into the month of June and school will be ending in 2 more weeks!

Sharing with you all today my latest cake that was for a baby shower and was created using the colors of the new baby's nursery. This was an oreo cake with chocolate ganache filling. I love making these baby cakes...They are so adorable!

Have a great day everyone!

Some new cake designs..

Happy Monday! Thought I would share with you all two of my latest and greatest (hee hee) cake designs.
Thanks again to my lovely photographer sister from the VixenMade blog who captured these shots for me on such short notice!

Monster Cake

A sneak peek into an awesome monster themed party that I will be sharing soon! I was given the opportunity to create this cake for my favorite twin nephews who turned one this past weekend. The party was gorg-eous! I cannot wait to share it with you all!

This cake was a carrot cake filled with vanilla buttercream.

Ice Skating Cake

Created this ice skating themed cake for my oldest neice who is turning 11. I have yet to make a cake for her and it was a treat. My neice and I both share December birthdays and she was supposed to be born on my birthdate. She really is a gem. Hope you had fun! Happy Birthday!

Sleepover Cake

This recent cake was for a sleepover birthday. The birthday girl requested rainbow chip cake and cotton candy buttercream.

Hope she had a fun-filled birthday!

Feature on Children's Party Network!

I was ecstatic to find that my little ol' ruffle cake was featured on the Children's Party Network! A new wonderful place to connect with other party girls who love to party..:)

Thanks so much ladies at the Children's Party Network!

You girls are awesome!!!!

Ruffle Cake

I was going to wait until next week to share with you this past weekend's events...but I could not wait! Call me wierd but I love me a party!

This past weekend we hosted not one...but two birthday parties for my daughter who celebrated her sixth birthday. Am I crazy? Yes, but I repeat...I love to plan a party!
The first on Saturday was a tinkerbell themed party for her and her classmates (you will have to wait for all of the details) and Sunday we hosted a pretty princess party which included close family members.

Today I share with you my first ruffle cake...please keep in mind that this is my first time icing a cake with buttercream frosting. I am so comforted by my friend the fondant.

See you tommorrow with some pictures and details of our royal affair!

Have a marvelous Monday!

Autumnal Bridal Shower Cake

Last weekend I had the honor to create a cake for my cousin's wedding shower. It was a carrot cake with vanilla buttercream. A fall favorite and complementary to the wedding color palette.

Can't wait to attend the wedding in a few weeks!

Hush Little Baby

One of my most loyal customers requested a cake for a baby shower...I love doing these baby sleeping cakes they are the most precious! This cake was an oreo cake with fudge filling.

Floral Mother's Day Cake

The cake topper is all hand sculpted sugar roses and calla lilies.
The cake was a vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream filling.

I created this cake for my Mom for Mother's Day. My love of baking and creating cakes is traced back to my childhood and baking with my mother (who I believe is the best cook in the world). Her baking is out of this world! We always say my mom should open up her own restaurant. She has yet to do so.
This cake was my way of saying thanks for all she has done. Thank you, Mom, I love you!

Diaper Bag Cake

This cake was the first I had ever done for a baby shower. It was a chocolate cake with alternating layers of chocolate and blue tinted vanilla buttercream.

House Under Construction

I love getting original and fun requests and this one was one of them! I made this cake last week for my brother-in-law's birthday. My sister and her husband requested a cake of a house being framed and a little figure working on the house. This one was so fitting as this is his profession. It was a vanilla cake with banana buttercream filling. Sorry, again, for the poor pictures, I ran out of time to take some better ones.

TV Cake

This is my latest cake that I created for my husband's birthday this past weekend. We thought this cake would be perfect and so reminiscent of the old tv he had when we first met. So, here it is...

Orthodontist Mold Cake

Hello there! Today I thought I would share with you my latest cake. I was given a fun request to make a tooth mold with braces. The pictures aren't that great, maybe one day I can splurge on a great camera..my little wish. :)

Paint Palette Cake

Here is my latest cake that I made for my Mother-in-law's birthday. She is a talented artist and wanted to pay homage to her God-given talent.

Drippy Icing Cake

This cake was my first attempt at a drippy icing cake adapted from Andrea Sweetcake's cakes on Flickr. It was a last minute birthday cake and there are a few things I think could use some work but it turned out okay. I love making little gumpaste figures such as bears and other animals and this little kitten was no exception.

Hello Kitty Purse Cake

Thought I would share my latest creation. A Hello Kitty purse cake. Was a lot of fun to make!
