Floral Mother's Day Cake

The cake topper is all hand sculpted sugar roses and calla lilies.
The cake was a vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream filling.

I created this cake for my Mom for Mother's Day. My love of baking and creating cakes is traced back to my childhood and baking with my mother (who I believe is the best cook in the world). Her baking is out of this world! We always say my mom should open up her own restaurant. She has yet to do so.
This cake was my way of saying thanks for all she has done. Thank you, Mom, I love you!

I wanted to come visit and say hello and thanks - I'm so flattered you're folling my blog! Your cakes look AMAZING! I love to cook and bake, but when it comes to icing baked goods, I'm a mess!
